This Course is delivered by Dr. Gada Kadoda to M.Sc. Class (University of Science & Technology) in 2018.

It is based on “Research Design: Qualitative, Quantitative and Mixed Methods Approaches” By John W. Creswell, 2009.

Course Particulars
·      Weekly Class, Sundays 3 – 5pm, Postgraduate Room
·    Mainly based on John W. Creswell’s book “Research Design: Qualitative, Quantitative and Mixed Methods Approaches” (2009), in addition to own material:
o   Research Methods course to IT undergraduates (2008) and postgraduates (2016, 2017)
o   Collaborative work/publications on ethics of appropriate technology projects
o   Book chapter on software engineering ethics
·     Interactive and Hands-on using coursework
·    Requires self-directed learning and group work, and motivation to change the status of research in Sudan and in the IT profession

  1. What's meaning and different between the research plan structure and idealised research process?

    1. The first is about the information you include in a proposal such as Background to study, objectives, methods, etc. The second is about the steps you will follow to execute the plan. They can be the same if everything goes as planned, in real life they are never the same :-)
